The view

A seat across the road from one of Ballarat's great landmarks.

Arch View sits on Sturt Street opposite the Arch of Victory, at the start of the Avenue of Honour. Grab a table under the umbrellas outside, or settle in under the timber beams with a coffee and something warm from the cabinet.

It's a calm spot for a catch-up, a long breakfast, or a quiet hour with a laptop and a long black. Free off-street parking is right out the front, with street parking too.

The coffee

Beans roasted for us by a small Melbourne roaster.

Flat whites with a heart on top, a long black in a rustic cup, and babycinos that come with a big marshmallow for the little ones. Take it to go, or stay a while.

This is a really good cafe. I was pleasantly surprised by how good their coffee was. Made a solid long black in a beautiful rustic cup. Their babycino was on point with a big fat marshmallow. The kids menu was very useful and my smashed avo was done very well. Lovely calm atmosphere. Very handy to have on this side of town.

As a 1st year uni student to Ballarat on the hunt for a coffee shop, I think I've just found it. Upon arriving, was greeted with service with a smile. Coffee was fantastic and the heated-up brownie was a game changer. Will definitely be coming back here!! A great setting for outside study overlooking the Ballarat Arch.
